Privacy policy
The short version: Bubblish doesn't collect your personal information. There are no accounts and no ads, and we never track you across other apps. To improve the game, it sends a few anonymous play counts, which you can turn off. Your scores and settings stay on your phone.
What stays on your phone
To remember your progress, Bubblish saves a few things in your phone's storage for this app:
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your gamer tag, avatar and banner | Shown on your player card and your share picture |
| Scores, streaks and stats | Your bests, your week and your unlocks |
| The words you've found | So you can look back at them |
| Settings | Sound, vibration, motion and stats choices |
| A game in progress | So you can pick up where you left off |
This information isn't sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it.
What we collect
Anonymous play counts. Bubblish sends a small number of anonymous events to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, so we can see how the game is played and fix what's hard or broken: that the app was opened, which mode you played, your score as a range (for example 200–399), how many words you made, and whether you shared a result or bought an unlock. Each phone gets a random ID that is scrambled before it's sent, so we can't tell who you are. We never send your name, gamer tag, the words you play, your location, or anything else that identifies you, and we don't track you across other apps or websites. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Anonymous stats.
Error reports in the test version. In the test version, if something in the game breaks, a short error message (what went wrong and where in the code, nothing about you) is sent with the anonymous counts so we can fix it.
Bubblish doesn't ask for your location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone, and has no advertising.
When you share
If you tap Share, Bubblish makes a picture and a short text with your score. Nothing is shared unless you choose to, and you choose where it goes. In the test version, shares contain only the picture and the text, no link.
Apple and Google
Apple and Google may give us anonymous crash reports and app usage numbers if you've agreed to share them with app developers in your phone's settings. Their privacy policies cover that. If you buy something in the app, Apple or Google handles the payment and we never see your card details.
Children
Bubblish is made for everyone. Because we don't collect personal information from anyone, we don't collect it from children either.
This website and the newsletter
dangodangogames.com has no cookies, no analytics and no ads, and its fonts are served from our own site. If you join the newsletter, your email address is kept by our newsletter service, Kit, and used only to send you our emails. Kit records whether our emails are opened and which links are clicked, which helps us write better ones. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.
Changes
If Bubblish starts collecting anything new, for example to add online scores, we'll update this page and change the date at the top before that version comes out.
